The Five ‘P’s:
People, Process, Performance, Partnership and Profits

Regardless of the role, responsibility and level of authority, every employee's action constantly impacts the Five P’s.  From the top down, bottom up and inside and out, understanding and managing the impact of employees in 3 dimensions is a challenging but effective approach to growing all of the five 'P's to higher levels.

Not everyone has the interest, willingness or ability to see and recognize the potential impact of their decisions and actions. As an organizational growth/performance coach I bring an ability to see the forest, the trees and potential paths in and out.  As one client put it...

This "connect-the-dots" ability is directed to support your big picture while developing and delivering solutions to resolve the cause(s) of challenges, not just the symptoms.

While many focus on symptoms, “symptomology,” such as employee retention, customer acquisition and retention, customer satisfaction, communication, trust, business growth, balance, change and leadership, I believe that all symptoms connect to the five ‘P’s at some level.

While vision, goals, structure, levels of responsibility, communication, measuring and rewarding performance are important, as we were all tragically reminded on September 11, 2001 and everyday since, people and relationships are at the heart of every commercial endeavor.

“The challenge is to provide the leadership, culture, methods and means to support and develop people, effective processes and partnerships that improve performance while being rewarded with growing profits.”

This is where the fourth ‘‘P’ Partnerships comes in. Partnerships include everyone or anyone “connected” to the organization.

At the core of Partnerships is the exchange of ‘Value’. Everyone at every connecting point of an organization wants to be “valued.”  It is these connecting points / relationships that require steady attention along with honest and open communication.

To me, seeing, understanding and managing these dynamic relationships is a most critical issue that organizational leaders and managers must effectively address.

So whether the challenge you face is organizational, departmental or personal, the solution will always impact people, performance, progress and profits and  always involve the dynamic relationships between them, the partnerships.
